May Cross Country Lessons
SVPC is offering cross country lesson instructed by Jacquelyn Dickey, Chris Donovan, and Courtney Swartz.
Riders will have a choice of 2 lessons and will have to pay facility fees (if required).
Jacquelyn Dickey will instruct lessons on Sunday, May 2nd at Loch Moy Farm and on Sunday, May 16th at Woodstock Equestrian Park.
Lessons coached by Chris Donovan will be on Tuesday, May 11th ( after 5 pm ) at Woodstock Equestrian Park and on Wednesday, May 26th at Shawan Downs ( starts after 3 pm ).
Saturday,May 1st and Wednesday, May 19th lesson with be held at Woodstock Equestrian Park instructed by Courtney Swartz.

Jacquelyn Dickey:
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Jacquelyn was introduced to the world of horses at a very early age. Her father bred, raised and trained Morgan horses, while Jacquelyn was in the saddle showing at the tender age of two. Later in life, after marrying a Coast Guard Officer and starting her own family, her desire to show Hunters and Jumpers led her to Mystic Valley Hunt Club where she apprenticed for Sally Hinkle and Roberta Boylan and embarked on an instructional career. A Coast Guard transfer to Maryland led her to a job with Sharon Brandis Myers where Jacquelyn was introduced to the beauty of Dressage. It was Gina Miles in California that introduced Jacquelyn to the world of Three Day Eventing which would become her training and teaching passion.Jacquelyn has combined the skills obtained from these proven trainers, and others, with the knowledge that she has gained from personal experiences to create a program that is time-tested, yet fresh and innovative. Jacquelyn’s training philosophy results from years of study with many great horsemen and women of all disciplines.
Chris Donovan
Chris Donovan runs the Area 2 young riders program. Her focus is on enjoying your horse with safety as the key. Chris coaches serious riders through Preliminary, but also enjoys teaching the unrated and D's.
Courtney Swartz
Courtney Swartz currently competes at Intermediate level in eventing and has shown through third level dressage. She is a current student at Stevenson University majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing. Even though she is a full time student, she is able to continue riding her four horses,showing and teaching. Courtney has been riding her entire life and enjoyed training young horses and ottbs. She ride out of her family farm in Silver Spring, Maryland which is run by her mom, Vanessa Swartz, a graduate A pony clubber and gold medalist in dressage. Courtney was an active Pony Clubber, holding a C-3/HB certification and has competed at pony club regionals, nationals, and international levels. In her free time, she exercies steeplechase horses and works with her youngsters.
